The quantum measuring problem: the observer affects the outcome! Does this nullify every scientific experiment ever conducted?

There is something non-physical affecting the physical world which is a dilemma for physical world physicists. As Brian Clotz once said on BBC 5 Live, ‘ghosts do not exist’. This is surely the mind-set of a physical solid world belief system rather than adherence to objective scientific analysis.
