Why Orion?

The constellation of Orion is said to be related to the design and placing of many ancient sites. It has been suggested the oldest image of a star pattern is that of Orion as recognised on an ivory tablet estimated to be around 32,500 years old.

It seems Orion is at least a part of the megalith story; our cavemen ancestors running around in animal skins had a conscious relationship with Orion? Our name for it comes from the hunter Orion inGreek mythology. Is Orion somehow, somewhere included within the Göbeklitepe site? From http://www.andrewcollins.com/page/articles/Gobekli.htm you can read…
‘Among the southern star groups and constellations looked at by Hale were the Hyades, Taurus, the Pleiades and Orion (more specifically its three “belt” stars), all of which have been put forward as matching the orientations of the twin pillars in the various enclosures at Göbekli Tepe during the epoch of their construction, c. 10,000- 9000 BC (see, for instance, Dr Robert Schoch’s latest book Forgotten Civilization, 2012). Out of these, just one potential candidate emerged as perhaps playing some role at Göbekli Tepe, and this was Orion, the celestial hunter.’

The Giza pyramids are said to reflect the positioning of 3 stars of Orion.

Arther played at being a hunter archer with the 7 main stars of Orion while Ayşe pointed out Orion’s Belt and the Milky Way. Infinity bubbles are so useful!
